Like any other major metropolitan city in the world we advice you to take  care of your personal items and personal safety

The beaches are well equipped for shark alerts. All major beaches in Cape Town have a coast guard who will alert beachgoers of potential shark sightings.

Depending on your budget there are the following means available

Uber – preferred option usually safer with an accurate estimation of your fare

Myciti – public transport which is cheaper. But might need to either walk from the central station to your place of accommodation or take an under or cab. 

Meter cab – you will not miss them. They come up to you at the airport offering their services to you

We advise you to go to established intuitions at the airport and you can withdraw money from secured ATM’s.
